Mardan

Mardan is a city in the Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Located in the Valley of Peshawar, Mardan is the second-largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (after Peshawar). It is a fast-growing city that experienced a population boom in the latter half of the twentieth century.
The district is named after Mardan, which also serves as the district's headquarters. The area is known for its agriculture business, “Peerah “the famous sooghaat of Mardan, as well as the historical buildings of Jamal Garhi, Takht Bhai, and Sawal Dher. Mardan is also well-known for its economics and entrepreneurial spirit. The recently completed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor adds to the significance of this century. Rashakai, on the Mardan border, is one of the primary economic zones of this project, which helps to enhance Mardan economy.
