The late Mohammad Hashim Memon, who served as the Deputy Commissioner of Larkana, was largely responsible for the establishment of this library in 1984. The library was established in two stages, the first in 1976 and the second in 1993–1994 respectively. The most notable sections of this library include Reference Hall, Children Section, Auditorium, Newspaper, Periodical Section, etc. about five readers out of all of them meet the requirements each year to take the CSS examinations, and a sufficient number of pupils meet the requirements to take other competitive examinations.
