Nowshera

Nowshera is a prominent city in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, ranking as the 78th largest city in the country and the ninth-largest in the province. Located in the Peshawar Valley, Nowshera lies on the banks of the Kabul River, about 43 kilometers east of Peshawar, the provincial capital. Its strategic location has made it historically significant, with several Sufi shrines located throughout the district.

The primary language spoken in Nowshera is Pashto, with many residents also speaking Hindko, particularly in the surrounding villages.
