Swabi is a city in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Swabi is located near the bank of the Indus River. It is the 73rd largest city in Pakistan and the eighth largest in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Swabi is also a key city in Mardan Division, where it is the second-largest city.

Yusuf Khan and Sherbano, a well-known Pashtun love story, is set in Swabi. Visitors travel to the village of Shera Ghund to visit the mausoleum of Yousaf Khan, which is located in the town of Kalu Khan on the Mountain Karamar. Sports are very popular among Swabi residents. Swabi people have earned a name for themselves on a national and international level, in addition to local sports. Swabi's culture is embodied in local sports. In Swabi, however, the national games are cricket, valley ball, and football. Makha, Horse racing, Maily, Gulu Danda, Kabaddi, Akor, Bilori, and Pat-Patonay are some of the more traditional local and old activities. Swabi is regarded as one of the country's greatest volleyball training centers. Many national team players, including former national team captain Raheem from the village of Zaida, are from this district.

Swabi people are friendly, bold, and hardworking, and the district is home to many legends. It is one of the world's most historically and archaeologically significant regions. Swabi's inhabitants are largely Mandanyr Yousafzai Pathans, while there are also Gadoon, Tanoli, Khattak, and Uthman. The majority of the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are Sunnis, but there are a large minority of Ismailis, Shias, and Ahmadis. Many Kalasha in Southern Chitral continues to practice their traditional Animist/Shamanist religion. However, there are only a few Hindu and Sikh communities in the area. Swabi's cash crops include vegetables, tobacco, and maize. Its environment is ideal for citrus fruits, but it also grows a variety of other fruits such as watermelon, apricots, and peaches. Swabi is known for Yusuf Khan and Sherbano, a renowned Pashtun folk love story. Visitors visit the tomb of Yousaf Khan in the village of Shera Ghund and climb Karamar Mountain in Kalu Khan.
