Rahim Yar Khan
Rahim Yar Khan, located in the Punjab province of Pakistan, is the 17th most populous city in the country. Serving as the administrative hub of Rahim Yar Khan District and Tehsil, the city is divided into nine Union Councils. In 1881, the Nawab of Bahawalpur renamed the city in honor of his eldest son and crown prince, Rahim Yar Khan, giving it its present name.

In terms of attire, rural men commonly wear a long loose shirt made of coarse cotton, paired with a pagri (turban) and chaddar (shawl). Urban men, on the other hand, prefer shalwar and dupatta. Women in the Cholistan region traditionally wear short shirts, ghagras, and dupattas, often made from inexpensive fabrics. Jewelry, especially gold and silver, is a favorite among women. The local cuisine includes a variety of home-cooked dishes such as chopri roti, daal, saag, and mutton with plenty of spices. On special occasions, Giddha is the preferred dance for women, while men often enjoy Bhangra.
