Most Scenic Hidden Dales Worth Visiting

Bagrot Valley 

Almost 17 km away from Gilgit town, the Bagrot valley is situated. The beautiful valley is decorated with Rakaposhi Peak in the northwest, Diran Peak in the northeast, and Dubani Peak in the east. 

The main source of livelihood for the locals is mixed mountain agriculture, heavily supplemented by cash income from commercial and public services. 

Barley, maize, potatoes, and wheat are commonly grown. In the settlements of the upper Bagrote Valley. For a relaxing and serene time, a trip to Northern Pakistan is the best option.

Phander Valley

Phander Valley is located in District Ghizer of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, at 1,454ft above sea level. Phander Valley is famous for its most beautiful valleys, lush green fields, deep blue lakes, and the river flowing across it, which is commonly called “Little Kashmir”. 

From both the Gilgit and Chitral sides, the Phandar Valley is near. To reach Phander Valley from the main city, it takes a total of five to six hours. One of the most renowned tourist spots in the entire region is Phander Valley. 

The deep blue Phandar Lake is beautifully landscaped and is primarily a habitat for trout fish. The people of Phander Valley are simple, peaceful, and hospitable.  

Shimshal Valley

Shimshal Valley is a remote and rugged high-altitude valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, famous for its dramatic mountains and untouched alpine landscapes.

The landscape is magnificent, and nothing like anything else you'll see in Pakistan. Shimshal has long been famous for its treks and mountaineers. Every summer, trekking enthusiasts make their way to Shimshal to get up into its truly iconic mountains.

One such trek is the legendary Shimshal Pass, though that’s just one of the many adventurous opportunities Hunza’s largest locale holds.

Naltar Valley

The Naltar Valley is situated just a few kilometres away from Gilgit city, the capital of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Located at an altitude of more than 10,000 feet above sea level, Naltar Valley calls out to nature-loving people, and whoever visits the place wants to visit it again and again for its magical views and glamour.

It is especially famous for its lakes, called by locals as Bashkiri, Satrangi, and Naltar lakes. Pari Lake is most famous due to its sky-blue water, which can be accessed by jeep through a bumpy track.

With the Naltar river flowing beside the curvy road passing through snow-capped mountains, the tourists can never stop themselves from admiring the natural beauty of the valley.

Leepa Valley 

One of the hidden, fascinating & loveliest valleys in Azad Kashmir, Leepa, spellbinds everyone who visits this valley. The valley remains open for domestic tourists only from May to November.

About 60 kilometres from Naily and 38 kilometres from Reshian, Leepa is a small village at an altitude of 1921 meters.

Its lush green rice fields in summer and typical wooden Kashmiri houses present a wonderful view to the people visiting the area. Walnut, Apple, Cherry, and honey of Leepa are very popular.

Hushe  Valley 

The Ghangche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, the last valley, is the Hushe Valley. Granite rocks, snow-capped peaks, and stunning beauty are the recognition of the Hushe valley.

The valley is renowned for the surrounding high mountains of the Karakoram range, including several peaks above six thousand meters like Laila Peak, K6, and K7. 

There are many sub-valleys in the area, including Gondogor Charkusa, Nagma, Nanbroq and Mashabrum. Hushe village was one of the extremely remote and impoverished valleys of Baltistan.
