PIA Planetarium: A Fascinating Journey into Space

Lahore Fort

The Lahore Fort, also referred to as "Shahi Qila" or "Royal Fort," is a historic citadel situated at the northern edge of Lahore's Walled City in Pakistan.

The Lahore Fort is one of the most prestigious constructions of its sort in the world. It has 21 significant monuments, some of which date back to the reign of Emperor Akbar. There are about 21 distinct buildings in the fort. These in the northern part are divided into four blocks or quadrangles. Lahore Fort is Pakistan's unique monument that depicts the whole history of Mughal architecture and the eras that followed. UNESCO inscribed the Lahore Fort as a World Heritage Site in 1981.

Wagah Border

Wahga is situated 600 meters (2,000 ft) west of the border and lies on the historic Grand Trunk Road between Amritsar in India and Lahore.

The town of "Wagah" is known for the Wagah border ceremonial, as well as for serving as a commodities transit port and a railway station between India and Pakistan. It's also 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Attari, which lies on the other side of the border. The Wagah ceremony takes place every evening.

Lahore Food Street

It’s a food street located between Fort Road and Roshnai Gate of the Walled City in Lahore, Pakistan.

The street was rebuilt and reopened as a tourist attraction in 2012, featuring Lahori food and the sight of the Badshahi Mosque. Food Street Lahore on Fort Road is the most beautiful spot in the city, especially at night. All of the structures on this street have a historic heritage that has been kept inside them. Lahore Zoo

Located at shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Mall Road, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

Established in 1872, is one of the largest zoos in Lahore, Pakistan. Today the zoo has a collection of about 1378 animals of 135 species. It is thought to be the third or fourth oldest zoo in the world. It is now controlled by the Department of Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries. The zoo's animal collection increased as the zoo expanded over time. The Tiger House, Fancy Aviary, Crocodile Ponds, Elephant House, and Snake House are just a few of the zoo's attractions. This zoo is open every day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Shalimar Bagh

The Shalimar Gardens, or Shālāmār Bāgh, are a magnificent Mughal garden complex located in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province in Pakistan.

Built during the golden age of the Mughal Empire, these gardens reflect the peak of artistic and architectural excellence and remain one of the most visited tourist attractions in Pakistan. Inspired by the concept of a Persian paradise garden, the Shalimar Gardens were designed to depict an earthly utopia where humans live in perfect harmony with nature. Their construction began in 1641 under the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan and was completed in 1642. In 1981 the Shalimar Gardens were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as they embody Mughal garden design at the apogee of its development.

Tomb Of Jahangir

Situated in Shahdara Bagh, northwest of the Walled City of Lahore. The tomb is located on the other side of the Ravi River from Lahore, in a rural region famed for its numerous pleasure gardens.

A tomb was constructed for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir in the 17th century. The tomb was built in the Mughal style, which was influenced by Persian Safavid architecture. The mausoleum is designed as a takhtgarh, or mausoleum placed on a podium that also acts as a Takht, or "throne." Except there's no takhtgarh on the podium, and it doesn't appear to have ever been built.

Sheesh Mahal

Situated within the Shah Burj block in a northern-western corner of Lahore Fort.

Known as “The Palace of Mirrors". It is among the 21 monuments that were built by successive Mughal emperors that form the "jewel in the Fort’s crown. The fort of Lahore is without a doubt one of the most remarkable structures of its sort in the world. The Sheesh Mahal features five arched entrances on the front side, which allow tourists to be fascinated by the gleaming and reflected qualities of hundreds of thousands of mirrors adorning the walls and ceiling. It is one of the most magnificent Mughal palaces, and visitors from all over the globe come to see and study it.

Wazir Khan Mosque

The Wazir Khan Mosque, a 17th-century architectural masterpiece in Lahore, was commissioned during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Part of a grand complex that includes the nearby Shahi Hammam baths, its construction began in 1634 C.E. and was completed in 1641. This historic site is listed on UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List. Considered to be the most ornately decorated Mughal-era mosque,[3] Wazir Khan Mosque is renowned for its intricate faience tile work known as kashi-kari, as well as its interior surfaces that are almost entirely embellished with elaborate Mughal-era frescoes.

Minar-e-Pakistan

The tower is situated in the center of an urban park, called the Greater Iqbal Park.

Known as the "Tower of Pakistan" is a national monument in Lahore, Pakistan. The tower reflects a blend of Mughal modern and Islamic architecture. Visitors can climb the stairs or use the elevator to the top of the minaret, which offers a panoramic view of the city. The mosque’s tower base features a design resembling a flower, adding to its intricate beauty. The area around the monument is lushly landscaped with parks and flowers. The venue is frequently used for political and religious gatherings. It is also referred to as the "Liberty Tower of Pakistan."

Air Safari

Air Safari distinguishes itself by offering unique aviation services within Pakistan.

Air Safaris Limited, established on November 26, 1959, initially operated with four-engine Handley Page Hermes and twin-engine Vickers Viking aircraft. It began as Meredith Air Transport in 1952, primarily operating Dakotas, and changed its name in 1954 to African Air Safaris Limited. By 1956, the company had acquired a Handley Page Hermes from British Overseas Airways Corporation and two Vickers Vikings in 1959. It then relocated to Gatwick Airport, becoming Air Safaris. In 1960 the company acquired the transport division of Don Everall Aviation with its scheduled flights from Birmingham Airport and one Viking aircraft. The airline opened an operating and maintenance base at Hurn Airport in 1961.
