Gupis (Goopechh) Valley is located about 112 kilometers to the west of Gilgit on the bank of River Gilgit, District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.
About 70 miles west of Gilgit, along the river, is a valley called Gupis. Gupis Valley in the district of Ghizer is full of breathtaking views and beautiful landscapes. The turquoise water of a river running along a road and the surrounding fields and forests are very appealing to tourists. A beautiful lake called Khalti Lake is just a few kilometers from the valley of Gupis. It is well-known for being the habitat of trout fish. A stretch of the river near the village of Khalti formed the lake. In the summer, the lakes turn a dark blue color, which makes the scene even more beautiful. Most of the time, the lake freezes over in the winter, making it easy to walk on. Near Khalti Lake, there is a beautiful place to eat.

Skardu, the central valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, is the most beautiful, peaceful, and wild place in all of Pakistan.

Gilgit is home to a number of diversified ethnic groups, cultures, languages, and history.It is home to residents from all regions of Gilgit, as well as from other cities in Pakistan and throughout the world. Gilgit's strategic location is responsible for the diversity of civilizations. Because Gilgit is the capital of Gilgit-Baltistan, practically all of the essential offices are situated there.
English and Urdu are the official languages, but Punjabi and Pushto are also spoken here. Most of the early residents spoke Shina as their first language, but the immigrants came from a variety of cultures and languages. Wakhi, Balti, Burushaski, and Chitrali/Khowar are some of the other important languages spoken in Gilgit.
Because Gilgit is a multicultural city with many different languages spoken, it has an impact on people's attitudes. Many inhabitants adhere to historical customs and traditions, while others live a contemporary lifestyle inspired by foreign media, cultures, and education. The bulk of the residents is Muslims, divided into two groups: Shias, Sunnis, and Ismailis. In Gilgit, there are a few Christians as well.
