Daman-e-Koh is a viewing point and hill top garden north of Islamabad and located in the middle of the Margalla Hills. Its name is a conjunction of two Persian words, which together means foot hills. It is about 2400 ft from sea level and almost 500 ft from the city of Islamabad.

Khanpur Dam is a dam located on the Haro River in Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa about 50 km from Islamabad. It forms Khanpur Lake, a reservoir which supplies drinking water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and irrigation water to many of the agricultural and industrial areas surrounding the cities. The dam was completed in 1983 after a 15-year construction period at a cost of ₨1,385.1 million. It is 51 m (167 ft) high and stores 79,980 acre-feet (98,650,000 m3) of water.

Pir Sohawa

The Pakistan Monument is a national monument on the Shakarparian Hills' western side. With four granite flower petals emerging from the ground and converging to reflect the four provinces (Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) standing in unity. The monument, construction started in 2004 and was completed in 2007, symbolizes the people's oneness. The smaller areas of Azad Kashmir, FATA, and Gilgit-Baltistan are represented by three tiny petals inside the bigger ones. The monument is built on a marble base and stands tall enough to provide a stunning view of Islamabad.
