Naran Kaghan

Naran is a town and popular tourist destination in the upper Kaghan Valley in the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. A popular tourist destination, located 119 kilometers (74 miles) from Mansehra at an elevation of 2,409 meters (7,904 feet), lies about 65 kilometers (40 miles) from Babusar Top. Its breathtaking scenery attracts both local and international visitors.

Lake Saif Ul Malook

Perched over 10,000 feet above sea level and surrounded by majestic mountains, this lake derives its name from an Egyptian prince.

According to research, Lake Saif-ul-Malook ranks as the fifth-best tourist destination in Pakistan. Every year, it draws thousands of visitors from around the world. During winter, heavy snowfall blankets the lake, rendering roads impassable. The ideal time to visit this location is between May and September. In addition to brown trout, the lake contains an iconic vista of Malika Parbat, the highest mountain in Kaghan Valley.

Shogran

Babusar Top , Naran

Babusar Top, also known as Babusar Pass, is situated to the north of Kaghan Valley.

It serves as the Pass that connects the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region. As the highest point in the area, vehicles like cars and jeeps can easily reach it. During the summer months, the views from this spot are truly beautiful and mesmerizing. However, it is important to stay cautious as the altitude can be challenging and the temperature drops significantly as you ascend. At 4,173 meters (13,700 feet) above sea level, Babusar Pass offers a stunning, high-altitude view. This location also marks the final point of the Naran Kaghan Valley.

Lulusar Lake, Naran

Siri Paye Meadows

Siri Paye Meadows are located in the Shogran Valley of the Naran Kaghan region.

Dudipatsar Lake

Dudipatsar Lake is located in the northern part of the Naran Kaghan Valley at an elevation of 3,800 meters. Surrounded by lush green pastures, this lake is known for its breathtaking beauty.

Dudipatsar, meaning "White Mountains Lake," derives its name from the snow-covered peaks surrounding the lake. It's also referred to as "The Queen of Lakes" in Pakistan due to its stunning views. To reach this picturesque spot, travelers can drive up to Jalkhad in the Naran Valley, and from there, a 4-5 hour walk through scenic landscapes awaits. The best time to visit is between June and August when the area is most accessible. After this period, heavy snowfall can make the region difficult to navigate, so visitors should plan accordingly.

Ansoo Lake

Ansoo Lake, nestled high in the Himalayas at an elevation of 4,250 meters, is a hidden natural gem.

To reach this stunning lake, adventurers must first travel by car to Lake Saif Ul Malook and then embark on a two-hour horseback ride through the upper Himalayas. A one-hour trek will then lead to the lake itself. The lake is famously tear-shaped, which is why it’s called "Ansoo" (meaning Tear in Urdu). Once at the lake, visitors can capture unforgettable memories of breathtaking views. The best time to visit Ansoo Lake is between June and August, as heavy snowfall in the winter months can pose risks to hikers. Rafting At River Kunhar

The Kunhar River, stretching over 166 kilometers (103 miles), is primarily located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northern Pakistan.

It has become a popular spot for rafting, providing a safe, thrilling, and scenic adventure. The river is fed by the waters of Dudipat and Saiful Muluk Lakes, as well as glacial runoff from Malka Parbat and other mountains in the valley. The Kunhar River winds its way through the entire Kaghan Valley, eventually joining Nainsukh Valley from Balakot, which includes Garhi Habibullah and Dalola.
